Artistry, especially in the glass medium, has always fascinated me. I have collected and experimented with glass over the years. In 2007 I created Glassy Creations to share my creations with the world. Locally I display my work at art shows, boutiques, and home parties. Now through this website my work is available to a broader audience. I love what I do and hope you enjoy visiting the site.

Shipping

I ship via United States Postal Service, generally within two days of a placed order. Expect two to seven days for delivery, depending on your location. Shipping rates are $2.50 for orders up to $24.99, $3.50 for orders between $25.00 and $49.99, and 5.00 for orders over $50. I pack all merchandise very carefully. Let me know immediately, however, if there is any damage of merchandise.

Return Policy

If you are returning an item, please do so within five days of receiving it and in the original condition. Email me at contact@glassycreations.biz to let me know. The item must be returned at your own shipping expense.

About fused glass and my process

Fused glass is truly magical. To make a piece of jewelry, I cut dichroic and art glass into shapes, layer each piece according to a design (generally two to four layers), and bake in a kiln at high temperatures for various times depending on the desired outcome. While in the kiln the sharp edges of the glass melt into smooth rounded edges, and the layering provides a multi-dimensional effect. During the cooling or "annealing" process, the glass becomes stronger, so the pieces become quite durable. I might fuse a piece several times for a special effect. I use a special glue designed for cold fusing pieces.

There are no exact copies; each piece is unique. Because the dichroic glass tranmits and reflects different colors at the same time, the jewelry may look different according to what you're wearing or the quality of light. It's always a surprise.
